Welcome.
This painting has been on loan for about 15 years and just came home. Like an old friend it brings me a familiar comfort. There is a stretch of The Saugutuck River that is just about to empty into The Compo Basin in Westport Connecticut which merges into Long Island Sound.
It never fails to lift my spirits when I am here, it is quiet, flowing, colorful, alive and generally at this time of year pictured a nice 60 degrees or so, you wear a light sweater and a smile.
