The Sound of Silence #2

Welcome.

Here is another view of the Long Island Sound from the opposite side of That Lonesome Sound painting which was done in late summer and where this one was painted in winter. I used to go out to this point when the day was a bit overwhelming and just ease into the serenity and breathe.

This is a 11" x 14" oil on canvas with a 1.5" deep gallery wrap stretcher bar. There is a fullness to the forms that I like in this piece along with the texture, the cool light and the fiery colored sea grass giving warmth against the cold.

And as you may have guessed...it's very quiet out here. One can hear oneself think. Nature is so perfect.

This work is available through my website alanphillipstudio.com and I have a free newsletter sign up for my outstanding one page musings on the my current art and classics present and past.

Thank you for visiting.

More to come....
